Translation of: Sewe dae by die Silbersteins.
The scene is Welgevonden, a lavish South African estate. Here lives rich and resourceful Jock Silberstein with his family, his employees, and a constant stream of guests. To Welgevonden comes young Henry Van Eeden to attend a week-long house party, a prelude to his marriage with the Silberstein's daughter. Each day he explores the estate with Jock as his guide, each night he attends a different party. Each day forms a successive stage in Henry's genesis
