Abstract: Eight Canadian postsecondary students who had been diagnosed with anxiety disorders were interviewed to determine their perceptions of the supports and barriers they experienced at university. Qualitative analysis revealed four themes related to student needs: self-determination; shame, guilt, and judgment; control; and trust. Students provided suggestions of specific actions professors could take to support student success.
