Online resources: Abstract: This article examines the influence of exchange rate volatility on exports for three South American countries (Bolivia, Colombia and Guyana) in the period January 1973 to February 2010. Using a new measure of volatility, a significant negative relationship is found between aggregate exports and volatility.
