Summary: We gave carried out a complex assessment of the toxicity of sea water in the water area of the Karadag Natural Reserve. Characteristics of aerosols off the sea surface results of biotesting by means of crustaceans Artemia salina L. of deepwater and surface samples of the seawater as well as their chemical parameters are well in agreement and indicated to anthropogenic pollution of the water area under investigation. The amount and size of aerosols in the atmosphere directly on the coast by means of Klaster®-1 devices made it possible to judge about the degree of the seawater pollution.
