The comparison research is made of the efficiency of removing U(VI) compounds from wastewaters synthesized by hydrotalcite-like sorbents: intercalated by hexamethylenediaminetetracetic and ethylene diaminetetracetic acids. It has been shown that the efficiency of sorbents for extracting U(VI) from wastewaters at pH 8 is determined by stability of its complexes with chelate ligands located in the interlayer space of layered double hydroxides.
