"This is an expanded and revised edition of a publication first produced in 2000 under the title 'The Methodist Church Collection of Modern Christian Art: An Introduction', and again in 2010 titled 'A guide ot the Methodist Modern Art collection.'"
This is a catalogue of a collection including famous names from the British art world of the past 100 years including Norman Adams, Edward Burra, Elizabeth Frink, Maggi Hambling, David Jones, Ceri Richards, William Roberts and Graham Sutherland. International artists include Georges Rouault from France, F. N. Souza and Jyoti Sahi from India, Sadao Watanabe from Japan, and John Muafangejo from Southern Africa. Based on an original text by Roger Wollen, with additional contributions by members of the management committee of the Methodist modern art collection: a new preface by Ann Summer and an introduction by Graham Kent. Also includes a foreword by the art critic Richard Cork.
