Summary, etc. The purpose of the study is to assess the effects of socially responsible HR practices on employees' work-related attitudes namely trust, motivation, and affective commitment. Using multiple regression analysis on 563 respondents in 204 organisations operating in India, the study has revealed that all the four components of socially responsible HRM such as legal compliance HRM, employee-oriented HRM, general facilitation HRM, and general CSR conduct have effects upon trust, motivation, and affective commitment. The findings provide a roadmap to the organisations for concentrating their efforts on specific socially responsible HR practices to achieve higher employee performance in terms of enhanced work attitudes. The findings suggest that improvements might be achieved by recuperating the working environment for employees via compliance with all the labour laws, by providing equal opportunities in all the HR activities, and meeting the needs of other stakeholders as well.
