In the last five years or so there has been a marked change in emphasis in assessment in Britain, as a result of technical developments like criterion- referencing, partly as a result of classroom developments like graded testing and partly in response to new demands like profiling. This monograph contains papers which cover many of these new issues, all of them with an emphasis on the contribution of research. |
